Too many Americans, of all political stripes, do not read nor follow the news. And even those who do, engage in a great disservice by leaving time only to read the NY Times, USA Today or their local newspaper. Still others who use televison, also miss out by only watching CNN, MSNBC or their local news. And in terms of the internet, you cannot understand the complex world by checking the headlines of CNN.com or even Foxnews.com once per day.
Blogs are there to educate the masses. We should cherish their existence. The mainstream media hates bloggers for that specific reason, as it threatens their monopoly and exposes their biases, laziness and incompetence.
